Hello, my name is Meggan (she/her/hers). My role within Aim to Recover is as a Clinical Psychologist where I offer a therapeutic space for soon-to-be and new parents. I also work as a Senior Clinical Psychologist in the public service and serve as Clinical Director of The Universal Psychology Practice. I am a chartered member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) and a member of the PSI Special Interest Group in Perinatal Infant Mental Health.
My areas of interest include intergenerational and developmental trauma, Jungian Psychoanalysis, and Somatic Experiencing. I invite the use of art, music, and nature throughout the therapeutic process and aim to create a collaborative and compassionate space for healing.
At Aim To Recover, I offer a range of psychological therapies and assessments, with a specialism in neurodiversity-affirmative assessment and intervention. Over the past decade, I’ve worked with children, young people, adults, and families in the HSE, NHS Scotland, and the private sector. My work includes best-practice assessments and interventions, group and individual therapy, and consultation for healthcare professionals.
My integrative approach draws on multiple evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness—always tailored to meet each client’s individual needs.
